If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12:!8

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. The one who plants and the one who waters have a common purpose, and each will receive wages according to the labor of each. For we are God's servants, working together; you are God's field, God's building.” 1 Cor 3:6-9

The REACT (Rapid Emergency ACTion) Team is comprised of trained laity who are committed to provide quality care for those in need during times of crises. Because we are concerned and want to do whatever we can to help the person through a difficult time, we respond quickly and professionally on behalf of HCPC through the Congregational Care Ministry. It is the church, the Body of Christ in action – loving and caring for those in need. If you have a need of this ministry, please contact the church office.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” 2 Cor 1:3-4

Marriage Ministries

Premarital Counseling
At Heights church, we approach marriage from a Biblical-Christian perspective. As a result, we share the conviction that marriage was instituted by God and is regulated by His Commandments. In short, God’s purpose and plan are foundational to marriage. As part of creation, God determined that “it is not good for man to be alone.” Therefore, God, using the very rib of Adam, the first man, formed Eve, the first woman, bringing her to life. God brought her to the man so that, as a part of him, they might become one flesh and share a lifetime together as husband and wife. (Gen 2:18-24)

Our premarital counseling is very Christ-centered and includes a significant amount of Bible exploration, study, and dialogue between the man and woman, as well as with the premarital Caring Couple who will help facilitate the sessions. If you wish to have more information, please contact the church office. During these times when many marriages are under attack, the covenant community has a responsibility to uphold the sanctity of marriage and to help partners strengthen their relationship.

The Marriage Works Team holds a workshop weekend for couples. The workshop weekend experience will use the following methods to achieve new growth:

Provide a time of and place for renewal, growth, sharing, and fellowship.
Provide understanding of Biblical principles on marriage, roles of husband and wife, and relationships.
Share techniques to enhance communication and intimacy.
Witness couples sharing their lives, experiences, knowledge, application of Biblical principles.
These weekends are not held every year, so please contact the church office for more information.

“Unless the Lord builds a house, those who build it labor in vain.” Psalm 127:1   Marriage Mentors is a ministry of Heights church designed to help couples bond for life, as God intends, through the support, help and encouragement of trained mentoring couples.
