Men's Brotherhood Ministry
The Men's Brotherhood is a covenant ministry by and for the men
of the church, to the church. We endeavor to fellowship together as
our Lord directed, to pray for and support each other regularly, and
to pool our time and talents in the Lord's service for our church,
our congregation, and our community.
- Breakfast Meetings
The Brotherhood meets at the church on the third Saturday of
each month at 8:00am for breakfast (a true gustatory
experience), with a brief devotional topic or study, and
shared requests for intercessory prayer. We also discuss any
business matters such as a service project, attendance at a
community event such as PromiseKeepers, or plans for
church-wide activities.
Women's Luncheon
Each year the men prepare and serve a gourmet meal for the
annual gathering of the church women and their guests on a
Saturday in May. This is a lot of work, fellowship, food -
and a great way to serve our favorite ladies!
Service Projects
As God gives us strength and talents, we at times have:
- painted rooms in homes and the church,
- moved elderly or disabled members to new homes,
- repaired donated toys,
- repaired the buildings and infrastructure of East
Central Ministries,
- supported Hallowe'en alternatives for our children,
- visited the sick and grieving, and
- driven church vans to retreats and PromiseKeepers
events.
