Minister of Worship and Church Life
Born and raised in Albuquerque, Lyle and his wife Amy have three grown daughters and two small lap-dogs. They have pastored churches in Texas as well as Albuquerque and were tremendously blessed when the Lord brought them to pastor here at Heights CPC in 2016.
Marty Goehring
Minister of Counseling and Spiritual Formation
An ordained minister and an associate pastor at Heights Church, Marty is also a clinical psychologist and the Director of Formation Counseling Services, the counseling ministry of Heights Church. Marty’s passions are inspiring the Christian church to be the primary provider of soul care in the community, integrating Christian spirituality into the process of counseling, exploring and teaching the spiritual disciplines. He’ll do anything he can to make his six grandchildren laugh–even resorting to bad grandpa jokes.
Jerry Smyrl
Minister of Soul Care
Jerry has been a part of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1967 and an associate Pastor for the last ten years with a love people and his ministry. Married to Jan for 56 years. Loves golfing, and hunting with his son.
Gene Dekeno
Minister of Children, Youth and Families
Gene grew up at HCPC, serving in children’s ministry for 20 years and on staff for the last 11 years. A blessed husband for 20 years to wife Tisha and lucky dad to two great kids, Gene is known at HCPC as the “baby whisperer,” and will not reject an offer for boba tea or sushi. Gene has attended Chicago Cubs spring training in Arizona every year since 2007.
Yohance Warrick
Minister of Discipleship
Yohance will have been married for 19 years in April to his wife, Sarita. They are blessed with three children. Originally from New Jersey, the Warrick family was guided to New Mexico after living in Corpus Christi, TX for ten years. In Yohance’s spare time, he is an avid gamer and a tech aficionado.

The mother of three beautiful daughters, Andrea has been going to HCPC for nearly 25 years. She has an associate’s degree in business from Central New Mexico Community College and more than three years’ experience in accounting.
Peggy Murtagh
Office/Facility Coordinator
As Albuquerque native, Peggy had visited Heights Cumberland PC many times for music events. Now, she’s not only a member, but considers herself blessed to be “a part of the wonderful HCPC Music Ministries.” She also says that “the cherry on top is being on staff with amazing pastors and surrounded by Godly people – I am truly Blessed!”
